Aaron Carter's Ex Says His Bisexuality Was Not the Cause of Their Breakup

Aaron Carter's year of dramatic incidents and revelations continued when he revealed he was bisexual. Soon after, it was also revealed that his relationship with photographer Madison Parker had ended.

Many fans seemed to tie the two events together, and Carter seemingly confirmed the rumors, saying Parker "didn't really understand" his sexuality. Now, Parker is hitting back at that claim.

She says that Carter's sexuality wasn't the reason for the breakup and the people labeling her as "homophobic" are wrong.

"My split with Aaron has nothing to do with him being bisexual," she told E! News. "Our parting of ways is something that has been coming for some time and it's the best thing for us both. Some of my closest friends and loved ones are of the LGBTQ community, people I love and support wholeheartedly, so for Out.com or anyone to label me 'homophobic' is appalling and hurtful and couldn't be more off character."

She then went on to send well wishes to Carter, despite his emotional last few months.

"I've been nothing but supportive of Aaron and his career and I'm happy for him that he's having the courage to live his truth," she said. "Breaking up is never easy for anyone, but it is my hope that we can move on from this point as peacefully and respectfully as possible. I wish him all the best."

Carter has previously alluded to the bisexuality reveal being the last disagreement the couple had before their breakup.

"I had discussed [my sexuality] with my ex-girlfriend, and she didn't really understand it. She didn't want [to]," he said on The Bert Show. "And that was it. So we left it mutual and parted ways."
