MTV may be closing the book on Teen Wolf for a revamp, but the current cast is still celebrating how far they've come.

At Teen Wolf's panel during San Diego Comic-Con, creator Jeff Davis opened up about the show's 100th episode, which is slated to be the series finale.

Davis recalled that there was a cake brought in to celebrate the achievement, but he refused to cut it.

He decided that the series' star, Tyler Posey, should be the one to do the honor. Posey is the only main cast member to make it all the way to the 100-episode mark.

Dylan O'Brien, who is returning to the show for its final episodes, put his arm around Posey during the touching moment, and Posey got choked up.

"I never thought a show named Teen Wolf would make it 100 episodes," Davis said.

Teen Wolf will return for its final 10 episodes on Sunday. This final batch of episodes is being much-hyped, with former stars O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin and Colton Haynes returning to help the show go out with a bang.

But this may not be the end of the current series. MTV reportedly has plans to continue the show as a podcast.

Meanwhile, the network already has an idea in mind for the next iteration of Teen Wolf, a "reboot with an entire new class." Davis is heavily involved with the reboot and looks to being seeing it through.
