The cast and creators of Psych made their presence felt at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, reuniting before the fans to talk about the upcoming TV movie.

During one of the film's press events, star Dule Hill took some time to speak with us about how easy it was to return to the set, what fans can expect from the movie - which will air on USA this December - and when the film will be taking place.

"You kind of slip right back in. I love playing this character, Gus is someone who's been a part of my skin for really the past 13 years," Hill said. "It's a lot of fun. By the time we got back to set, the cast and crew we sang 'Happy Birthday' like we normally do, once I said one or two 'C'mon son's I was ready to go."

Psych: The Movie Casts Zachary Levi as the Villain

After being a part of one character for so long, it's easy to understand how Hill and the rest of the cast could come right back to the set and feel like no time had passed.

Hill went on to explain that the new movie will bring a lot of memories to fans of the original Psych series. There will be call-backs galore in the reunion film.

"You have to lean on things because people evolve, but they don't do 180s. Some things that were a part of the banter between Shawn and Gus will always be there. I think you'll see some fist bumps, you'll see some 'C'mon Sons', you'll see some 'Suck Its', you'll see some finger points, we'll have the whole thing going on. But you'll see some new things also."

As Hill continued, he went into just a little bit of detail about Psych: The Movie, including when it takes place.

"It's a continuation of a story," he said. "We pick up three-and-a-half years later, it's in the real time of their lives. So, it doesn't pick up exactly where the show ended, but this what they're doing."

From the way Dule Hill describes it, fans are really in for a nostalgic treat when Psych: The Movie airs this December.
