'NCIS': Gibbs Taken Captive in First Season 15 Photo

NCIS is set to debut its 15th season this September, but the new installment won't begin without a load of trouble.

As everyone expected, Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) have been taken captive in Paraguay. That's where they'll find themselves when Season 15 premieres.

The first photo from the upcoming season, released by EW, shows Gibbs and McGee in a prison, of sorts. The two men are sporting tattered clothes, long beards and cuts on their faces.

After heading into Paraguay to rescue a lost Navy Seal, the duo was taken by a group of dangerous rebels.

When NCIS returns and fans are reunited with Gibbs and McGee, the two will have been in captivity for two months. Their colleagues in Washington D.C. still have no clue as to where they're being kept.

According to executive producer/showrunner Frank Cardea, making the two actors look so rough was no easy task.

"We did have to apply a lot of makeup, though, to make them look gaunt. Mark loved all that stuff," Cardea said.

NCIS will return to CBS on September 26 at 8 p.m.
