Woman Destroys $200,000 Worth of Art While Taking Selfie

We've already seen that selfies can potentially be dangerous for the selfie-taker, but this bit of security footage from the 14th Factory in Los Angeles proves that selfies can also be a potential hazard to the area around the phone as well.
A woman was visiting an exhibit by Hong Kong-based artist Simon Birch, which involved an installation involving work by Birch and artists Gabriel Chan, Jacob Blitzer, and Gloria Yu titled "Hypercaine."

While her friend was able to take a photo without a hitch, the unlucky woman bumped the display as she was taking her selfie, causing an unfortunate domino effect that knocked down the entire row of art.

"Three sculptures were permanently damaged and others to varying degrees," Yu told Hyperallergic. "The approximate cost of damage is $200,000."
