Birmingham Stallions
One fan wrote: "I'm in. I just really hope this league takes off. Yes I was a fan of the XFL & was so upset when the season was canceled. I was a Roughnecks fan, the merchandise I did purchase is now collectors items because I loved that logo."
Houston Gamblers
One fan replied: "The Houston Gamblers? Really? I don't understand why any of these teams have home cities when they will all play at the same place. No traveling etc.. Houston is not the home town is the Gamblers."
New Orleans Breakers
The team started in Boston and then moved to New Orleans before playing in Portland in the final year of the USFL in 1985. When the Breakers were in New Orleans in 1984, they finished with an 8-10 record.
Tampa Bay Bandits
The Bandits had a 35-19 overall record in the USFL and were coached by Steve Spurrier. Some of the notable players who were on the Bandits were Nate Newton and Gary Anderson as both had successful NFL careers.
Michigan Panthers
One fan wrote: "I use to have an ORIGINAL Michigan Panthers t-shirt when I was little. My older brother got it for me from the playoff game against the Oakland Invaders. I wore it all the time!!"
New Jersey Generals
The Generals were owned by Donald Trump during the 1980s. The team also featured Herschel Walker who was coming off a historic career at the University of Georgia where he led the Bulldogs to a national title in 1980 and won the Heisman in 1982.
Philadelphia Stars
One fan replied: "I don't care that it's paying homage to the team from the 80's Philadelphia football with a star logo is gross and obviously didn't work then and shouldn't exist now."
Pittsburgh Maulers
One fan wrote: "Didn't have a chance to watch the Maulers when they were around in the 80's. I'll be looking forward to catching them next year. And allow me to throw in my 2 cents here. From Twitter to Instagram. People have complained about the colors. 1. To me, the colors don't bother me"
