Naomi Watts took to Instagram to share her text message with Twin Peaks director David Lynch, and fans are really confused.
The messages are filled with references to the revival season of Twin Peaks (which features Watts in a prominent role), and they match the show's level of absurdity.

Lynch asks Watts to meet at 1 p.m., and she replies "I'm Janey-E and I will come when I want too!!!"
Janey-E Jones is Watt's character's name in the new series. She's married to Dougie Jones, who is actually a brainwashed Agent Dale Cooper. (It's way more complicated than that, but that's all we'll subject you to.)

Lynch jokingly apologizes and Watts says, "I'm going to serve you your a--."
The iconic director then leans into the absurdity and says "Should I go up with Dougie to say goodnight to Sonny Jim (Janey-E's son)."
They messages continue on and Lynch lets her know he's going to meditate now.
Watts then pings Lynch and says "sending you a buzzing sound to remind you I can mess with you because I'm Janey-E."
He then retorts with with a humorous message ending in "STOP IT BITCH!!!!!!!"
Many had surely had no idea what was happening, but the Twin Peaks faithful in the comments called it "brilliant."
"This is honestly better than everything I could have ever imagined from you two texting!" wrote one fan.
