On Gilmore Girls, Scott Patterson plays Luke, the diner owner, and object of Lorelai's affection. In real life, though, Patterson is taking a cue from his character and going into the coffee business.

In a story shared by Screen Crush, Patterson told reporters, "I'm developing my own coffee brand. We're almost ready to launch, but we want to have our ducks in a row before we come out with it."

He continued, "Quality coffee is something that I am obsessed with. It's the thing I look forward to every morning and throughout the day and throughout the evening and now throughout the middle of the night."

Finally, Patterson revealed what the coffee brand will be called,"It's going to be called Scotty P's Big Mug Coffee."

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Gilmore Girls has been used to rake in some cash by using coffee.

When the streaming giant was promoting their Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life they created multiple pop-up "Luke's" diners and of course coffee would have to be on the menu, as the Gilmore's drank it from there probably every single episode of the entire series.

Finally, Patterson was asked about the future of the highly revered show, and, in a manner so very "Luke," he responded, "I'm not waiting around for that. You know, who the hell knows?"
