"Oh dear God. Massive R.I.P to Chester Bennington of @linkinpark this BREAKS OUR HEART," read a tweet from One Republic. "Suicide is the devil on earth walking amongst us."

A tragic ending
Chance the Rapper called Bennington's death a "tragic ending," while radio host Elvis Duran shared a photo of the singer with a smile on his face.
Heartwrenching
Aaron Carter offered his condolences to Bennington's family and friends.
Halestorm member Arejay Hale echoed Carter's sentiments, sending support to the band's families.
Makeup guru and musician Jeffree Star wrote that he was "heartbroken" to hear the news.
The importance of mental health
Many others besides musicians also offered their thoughts, with WWE star Dash Wilder encouraging those who may need it to seek help and NXT wrestler Mauro Ranallo urging fans to spread mental health awareness.

Pretty Little Liars star Keegan Allen remembered Bennington's talent, while the singer's former tourmate, Stevie Aiello, praised Bennington's character.
