Ozzy Osbourne Breaks Silence Following Split From Sharon

After the news had broken this weekend of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's split, all was quiet on the Ozzy front for awhile. Now, the Black Sabbath member is speaking out to shut down one nasty rumor that's started circulating recently.

"I have been sober for three and a quarter years," Ozzy told E! News, "I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate."

The couple had been married for more than 3 decades and have raised 3 children together. According to E! News's source, the couple agreed that Ozzy would move out of the house temporarily.

The musician was spotted Monday morning on a walk with his dog, still wearing his wedding ring.

The split comes as a surprise to many fans despite the couple's ups and downs, including divorce rumors that sparked in 2013.

At the time, Sharon spoke out on The Talk saying, "Everything that has been printed in the tabloids has been distorted. There's always a little seed of truth in everything that is reported but then it gets very distorted."

Now that the news has been confirmed, though, Sharon has been notably silent on the matter. On the new episode of The Talk this Monday, Sharon was absent from the show.

Co-host Julie Chen addressed the issue briefly saying, "As we get started, Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines of her and Ozzy, rumors and speculations that they had split up after nearly 34 years of marriage," she explained. "Sharon understandably took the day off and we are sending all of our love to her and her family. And we ask that you do the same."

E!News received reports that Ozzy is currently staying with a relative.
