Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Will Learn to Swim for Baby Luna

Love, they say, conquers all obstacles. That seems to be holding true for new parents Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as they are setting their worries aside to tackle water safety for the sake of their daughter Luna.

"I was in the pool today," Teigen told PEOPLE. "I can't swim, but I'm trying to learn for Luna, of course," she adds. "There is nothing I want to do more than to get her into the water and for her to learn to swim."

Their desire to be there to help their daughter learn how to swim is pushing Teigen out of her comfort zone as well as her crooning husband, Legend.

"John can't swim, either," she explains. "And we don't want to be helpless in any way, so we're going to try to learn for Luna. We're going to have someone come to the house," Teigen said.

It's not a matter of fear for the parents, though, according to Teigen. It's just a matter of circumstance in their upbringing. "I have no fear of water. John has no fear of water," she says. "Or animals, or sharks or what have you. We just didn't have water in our face when we were growing up."

As for baby Luna's timeline for getting in the water? Teigen said she wants it to happen sooner rather than later. When asked if Luna will be an early swimmer, Teigen simply said, "Absolutely!"

Now that we're daydreaming of adorable photos of Luna in water wings, we hope Teigen and Legend hold true to their promise!
