After tearing apart the box office with Wonder Woman, Patty Jenkins and Chris Pine are working together again.
On Thursday, TNT announced a new TV series about the homicide of Elizabeth Short, aka the "Black Dahlia" murder. The six-episode drama, titled One Day She'll Darken, will see Jenkins direct the first episode.

Pine is set to be the star of the show, playing Jay Singletary. The character is a former marine who now makes a living as a lackluster reporter.
The series is inspired by the autobiography of Fauna Hodel, who was given away in a casino by a teenage mother in 1949.

The official logline states that One Day will follow Hodel as she "begins to investigate the secrets to her past." She will end up uncovering a "sinister trail" of evidence leading to Hollywood gynecologist Dr. George Hodel, a suspect in Short's muder.
Jenkins will direct the pilot, while husband Sam Sheridan will write all six episodes. Michael Sugar will serve as an executive producer, alongside Pine, Jenkins, and Sheridan.
One Day She'll Darken is expected to begin production sometime this fall.
