Daniel Dae Kim & Grace Park Exiting 'Hawaii Five-O' Ahead Of Season 8

Hawaii Five-O may be returning this fall, but there will be a massive gap left in the cast.

According to Deadline, stars Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, who play Chin Ho Kelly and Kono Kalakaua on the series, won't be returning for season eight.

This is a big loss for fans of Hawaii Five-O. Not only were Kim and Park major stars, but they have also both been featured in every episode of the series to this point, 168 in total.

CBS has stated that fans will get an update as to where the characters have gone during the season premiere, which is set for Friday, September 29.

"I will never forget meeting Daniel while still writing the pilot and being certain there was no other actor who I'd want to play Chin Ho Kelly," said Peter Lenkov, executive producer. "Needless to say, Daniel has been an instrumental part of the success of Hawaii Five-O over the past 7 seasons and it has personally been a privilege to know him. Grace's presence gave Hawaii Five-O a beauty and serenity to each episode. She was the consummate collaborator, helping build her character from day 1. They will always be ohana to us, we will miss them and we wish them both all the best."

Fans had wondered if Kim would be returning to the show this fall, as The Good Doctor was picked up to series. Kim serves as an actor and executive producer on the new program.
