Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones was filled to the brim with massive reveals and long-awaited reunions. One of the most memorable moments was when Kit Harington's Jon Snow experienced his first grand introduction to Daenerys Targaryen's favorite dragon, Drogon.

During an interview featured in an "Inside the Episode" segment, Harington opened up about how he wanted to film the scene that showed him slowly approaching Drogon before placing a hand on its snout.

"I quite liked that moment with the dragon. And I think there was something I wanted to bring to it that was quite animalistic," Harington said.

The English actor compared his approach to Drogon in the scene to how one would meet any "vicious" animal.

"Animals go on the smell of something. If you're coming up to a horse you want it to sniff you for it to trust you. Hopefully that worked with the dragons. If you show quite a vicious animal fear, it will jump on that. But if you show it bravery, then it will respond in a different way," the 30-year-old actor said.

As for the Mother of Dragons, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, she believes that there was a special connection made with Jon in this moment.

"She sees his interaction with the dragons and it's an attractive quality for her," Clarke said.

Unbeknownst to both Jon and Dany, a shocking revelation was made by Gilly in regards to Jon's parentage, which is likely the reason why Drogon took a liking to the King in the North. According to a manuscript that Gilly read during Sunday's episode, it was not only confirmed that Rhaegar Targaryen (Dany's brother) and Lyanna Stark were Jon's parents, but also that Jon is not a bastard or conceived out of wedlock. This bombshell has huge implications for the major characters on GOT and their claim to the Iron Throne going forward. Learn more here.
