WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones Season 7! Read at your own risk...

Game of Thrones went with a cliffhanger this week, as the the latest episode left Jaime Lannister's fate up in the air. At the end of "The Spoils of War," Jaime was seen sinking down into the water, being weighed down by his armor.

The idea of the cliffhanger is to keep people guessing until the next episode. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), the director may have accidentally revealed the outcome of Jaime's incident.

Matt Shakman spoke with EW about the episode earlier this week. While discussing the battle, it seems as though Shakman may have had a slip of the tongue, and made it clear that Jaime was still alive.

"And all of a sudden the Lannister army — which is a Roman army in a way, an army of order and precision, who can handle pretty much any obstacle — they encounter something they cannot handle and realize that war has changed forever," Shakman said. "Jaime, especially, is a great soldier and realizes this is going to be a new era."

The director referred to Jaime in the present tense. He also hints about Jaime's future against Dany's army when he said, "He realizes this is going to be an era."

According to that quote, Jaime definitely has more fighting to do after "The Spoils of War."
