American Idol has its eyes set on a few more superstars to finish out the judging panel.
The ABC singing competition has already locked down Katy Perry as its first judge, but are now narrowing down the search for the remaining three spots.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporters that ABC and its producers are considering Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Charlie Puth to join the panel.

Although the three singers are only rumored to be in the running, negotiations have not started with anyone. Richie is considered to be the most likely to officially join the panel, as he is an internal favorite. Bryan's addition would make sense given ABC's relationship with the country music world. Puth is seen as the less likely of the trio to join.
The remaining judges' slots need to be filled fast since auditions are scheduled to being on August 17 in Florida.
Last week, Ryan Seacrest confirmed his return to the show as host.
If any of the three considered judges were offered the position, their salary would not nearly be as large of Perry's $25 million contract, as she took a significant chuck of the budget.
What do you think about the three choices?
