After taking a year off, the American Horror Story opening credits sequence is back and it's creepier than ever before.

Featuring clowns, honey bees, bloody flags and a couple of recognizable presidential candidates, the new opening credits for American Horror Story: Cult will make your skin crawl.

Ever since the first season of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series, fans have loved the unique and terrifying intro. Every season, the new theme would breed a new credits sequence that would try and top the one before it.

However, because of the format of My Roanoke Nightmare, the show's sixth season didn't include the iconic intro. Instead, the show merely flashed the title card and called it a day.

The intro has returned with Cult, and it includes the chilling music that fans have come to love. It also includes a couple of political cameos that you might have been expecting.

Early on in the sequence, someone is seen putting on a mask of Donald Trump, who won the 2016 presidential election. Later on, a mask of his opponent, Hilary Clinton, was featured.

The new season is set to begin on the eve of that very presidential election, with politics playing a key role in the series.

American Horror Story: Cult will premiere on FX Tuesday, September 5 at 10 p.m. ET.
