In a devastating scene this summer, New Mexico police discovered a man nailed to a tree by his hands as a result of a real estate deal gone wrong.
Jose Duran was discovered by a city worker in a forest in Albuquerque, New Mexico back in May. He was nailed to a tree a short distance from the road and was screaming for help.
KRQE has recently released a video of the scene, taken by one of the men who came to help Duran in his time of need.
The footage shows Duran nailed to a tree, groaning in pain. Initially, he wouldn't say who he was or who had put him there. However, he eventually started talking.
"Two guys," Duran finally said. He claimed that there were two men in the area who were trying to kill him.
Later, while speaking with the police, Duran stated that the men were sent to scare him after he was part of a bad real estate deal. He also claimed to have documents supporting the entire exchange.
Duran said that this was the third time those men had attacked him.
