After the cliffhanger finale to conclude Season 5, Orange is the New Black is looking to give the series a "facelift" going into the sixth season.

The fate of 10 fan-favorite characters is left hanging in the balance as the possibility that they will no longer be serving time in Litchfield Penitentiary is looming. The story of a prison riot that is incited by the murder of inmate Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley) unfolds over the course of the 13-episode season.

After the riot police blew up a bunker containing the 10 prisoners, the rest of the inmates were bussed off to two undisclosed prisons. This implies that the series could be returning without its entire lineup of core characters or that there may be new locations for next installments of the award-winning series.

To offer her thoughts on the situation, Adrienne C. Moore, who plays Black Cindy, spoke out about Season 6.

"I'm always excited about every season and what's going to happen, but this season, I feel like it's an amazing facelift," Moore said while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter.

Black Cindy is one of the 10 prisoners being held in the bunker. According to Moore, none of the actors knew if they would be making it to the next season until they received the first script for Season 6.

"Toward the end of season five, there were some people that were agreeing to stick together, and there were some people that were looking out for themselves," Moore said. "We'll see the repercussions of those decisions in this next season."

The OITNB fans aren't the only ones with burning questions. Moore says that the showrunners are keeping the cast in the dark in regards to the storyline on an episode to episode basis.

"They don't want to tell us, and I asked them, 'Well, don't you guys want us to know so we can go into the episodes [knowing] what we're snaking toward?' " said Moore. "They said, 'No because part of it is your discovery as the episodes go. If we tell you everything upfront, then it might alter or shift or change how you might approach something if you didn't know what was going happen. ... We want you guys to take the journey and see what you discover that we may not have thought about as we were writing it.' "

Moore concluded by saying that she's excited to see where series creator Jenji Kohan takes the storyline for all the characters.

"I'm curious to see as the season develops how they will factor in some of the things that are going on in our culture, and maybe even our world," Moore said. "And then also how we're able to still make it relevant to today. So like I said, I'm still trying to figure out where it's going."
