Fans of the Fast and Furious may be getting a chance to see the action up close, as Vin Diesel recently announced a live area tour based on the films is being produced.

Taking to Facebook, Diesel said fans can prepare to see something that has never been done before.

"As you know, my work with Fast and Furious never ends, which I'm grateful for because of you all," he wrote. "I am in New York, believe it or not, and we are filming something that is going to be pretty state of the art, something no one's ever seen before, which is a live show."

He goes on to write that "it will be showed at the O2 Arena in London [first], but it's going to go all over the world and we're really excited about it. It'll be a way for you to see the action first-hand, first time it's ever been done."

Additionally, the show is said to contain re-created popular and memorable stunts from various films in the franchise,

The Fate of the Furious is easily one of the most well-regarded films in the Fast & Furious franchise, but it turns out that its director may not return for another one.

Speaking to Screen Rant, Fast 8 director F. Gary Gray was asked if he had any plans to direct a Fast 9.

Gray responded, "Right now I'm starting a company, so that is my focus for the last couple of months. I had a chance to take a week off, a vacation, and then jump into some prior stuff that I had to take care of. And in the midst of starting a company, so that's what I've been dealing with."

So while there will be another Fast film, Gray could potentially forgo the opportunity and let someone else take the reins.
