Grab the maple syrup and a liter o' cola, because the shenanigans are about to begin.
Super Troopers fans are on cloud nine right meow, as the official release date for the long-awaited sequel has just been revealed.
After speculation about the release date had spread online, Broken Lizard took to Twitter to settle the debate — Super Troopers 2 will hit theaters on April 20, 2018.
Is anyone even remotely surprised by this?
The 4/20-inspired release date seems like the perfect time to come out with the rowdy comedy sequel, and the production company took full advantage.
Super Troopers 2 will see the return of the original cast, and is being directed by Jay Chandrasekhar, who also helmed the first film.
A couple of weeks ago, the movie had completed the post-production stages and sent the finished product off to Fox Searchlight.
All of the cast members have been incredibly thankful to the fans for getting this movie made, as $4.4 million was crowdfunded to help get it produced.
