With Steven Yeun no longer appearing on The Walking Dead, the actor is able to explore new projects and star in feature films. For those of you who loved his work on the AMC zombie series, have no fear, he's not straying too far from violent genre fare with his new film Mayhem. The film's synopsis is as follows:

"After being framed for corporate espionage on the same day that a mysterious virus is unleashed on his company, attorney Derek Cho is forced to savagely fight tooth and nail for not only his job but his life."

Mayhem premiered at South by Southwest, appealing to fans of horror, action, and comedy, as director Joe Lynch blended all three elements into a highly entertaining crowd-pleaser that will make you laugh as much as you cringe.

It was just announced that Mayhem will be screening at the UK genre festival Fright Fest and, in addition to a brief theatrical and VOD run later this year, will land on the horror streaming service Shudder at the beginning of 2018.

Of the film, Lynch explained, "Mayhem is a very personal film for us that has affected and engaged festival audiences looking for some insane, cathartic fun in these trying times. With RLJ Entertainment and Shudder working together to bring Mayhem to the masses, I am confident that this crazy flick will find its audience in the best way possible."

"It will be for viewers who want the choice of a big, bold, loud theatrical experience; but it will also have the convenience and careful curation of Shudder's fantastic service," he continued. "As a fan and customer of Shudder, I am proud to know that we are in great company. Mayhem is coming for you all soon enough!"

The film also stars Samara Weaving (Mystery Road), Steven Brand (The Scorpion King), and Dallas Roberts (The Dallas Buyers Club).
