Quentin Tarantino made waves throughout Hollywood this week, as word got out that his next film would center around the Manson Family Murders.
The famed writer-director is looking to tell the story of Sharon Tate, the wife of filmmaker Roman Polanski, who was brutally murdered by the followers of serial killer Charles Manson. Sources are now saying that Tarantino has his eye on one of the industry's hottest stars for the lead role.
Quentin Tarantino Working On Manson Murders Film
According to Deadline, Tarantino has met with Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie about taking on the role of Sharon Tate.
If Robbie does end up taking the part, the cast of this film could rival some of the best that Tarantino has ever put together. Initial reports about the project claimed that both Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence had also been eyed for major roles.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Samuel L. Jackson is also reportedly in the running for a lead role, as he's appeared in almost every movie Tarantino has directed.
Robbie has a few films on her schedule that could interfere with the Manson film. Her obligations to the DC Comics film franchise, where she plays Harley Quinn, could be a big hurdle. She's currently slated to appear in the Suicide Squad sequel, as well as a Gotham City Sirens movie.
Even with a packed schedule, it's hard to think a rising star would pass on the chance to work with Tarantino.
