After a long hiatus, Chucky is returning to screens everywhere with the first trailer for Cult of Chucky.

Written and directed by Don Mancini, the seventh installment in the Child's Play franchise heads back to the roots of the original.

Fiona Dourif reprises the role of Nica, who has been confined to an asylum for the criminally insane, after being accused of killing her family. No one believes that it was actually a doll that murdered her loved ones.

When Nica's psychiatrist tries to introduce a new "good guy" doll as a group therapy device, death takes over the asylum. When people start dying, everyone starts thinking Nica might not be so crazy after all.

Jennifer Tilly and Alex Vincent are set to portray the fan-favorite roles of Andy and Tiffany respectively, and Brad Dourif is returning to voice the killer Chucky doll once again.

Cult of Chucky will be available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy October 3.
