Underworld: Blood Wars Character Posters Revealed

The wait is almost over for the fifth installment of the Underworld movie series. The newest film, Blood Wars, has been slated for a January 2017 release.
In preparation for the premiere, Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment have released a new set of character posters for the film. They feature the four main characters in the movie: Selene, Thomas, David, and Marius.
Selene, played by Kate Beckinsale, has been the star of the Underworld franchise since the first one debuted in 2003. She took a break from the films in the 2009 prequel, Rise Of The Lycans, and the fans didn't take too kindly to her absence. Selene returned to action in Underworld: Awakening in 2012.
Selene is a vampire warrior who is caught in the middle of an ancient war between her kind, and a race of werewolves called Lycans. In Awakening, Selene united the two factions to fight agains the human race. For Blood Wars, Selene fights on her own, against both sides, to try and end the war.
The other three characters represent the three sides of the war that Selene is raging.
Thomas, played by Charles Dance, is the leader of the vampire faction. He cast Selene out from their people, and is the main antagonist to her cause.
David is played by Divergent actor, Theo James. He was a vampire that died during the war against the humans, but Selene resurrected him. After his rebirth, David has taken the role of Selene's apprentice, and he will assist her in ending the war.
Marius is the new leader of the Lycans, and is played by Tobias Menzies. While Marius is a new character to the franchise, he has set himself up as a character that shouldn't be messed with. He controls a horde of Lycan warriors, and has plenty of his own fighting skills to boot.

Underworld: Blood Wars is set to release in the US on January 6, 2017.
