On Friday's episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, Piers Morgan sparked a social media controversy after standing up with President Donald Trump.
After the show, Morgan faced backlash for defending the former Apprentice star's immigration policy saying that it was not a "Muslim ban."
Comedian Jim Jefferies, who was also on the show responded to Morgan by saying: "F*ck off. You say, 'He hasn't done this, he hasn't done that.' Give him a f*cking chance. Hitler didn't kill the Jews on the first day. He worked up to it."
Piers Morgan replied by saying that Jefferies was spouting "ridiculous, hysterical nonsense."
The two continued to have a heated exchange and several celebrities took to Twitter to call out Piers Morgan including Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and comedian Patton Oswalt.
Rowling began the Twitter war by writing: "Yes, watching Piers Morgan being told to f*ck off on live TV is *exactly* as satisfying as I'd always imagined."
Piers Morgan responded and then it was an absolutely savage exchange between Morgan, Rowling, and Oswalt.

After Rowling's initial tweet, Piers wrote: "This is why I've never read a single word of Harry Potter."
Read Rowling's response below:
Piers then wrote: "Everything I said was factual. If you think screaming 'FUCK OFF!!!' at me changes that, then you're mistaken."
Rowling then threw shade at Morgan's stance on the Refugee crisis.
Piers wrote: "The superior, dismissive arrogance of rabid Remain/Clinton supporters like @jk_rowling is, of course, precisely why both campaigns lost."
After J.K. Rowling and Piers Morgan's Twitter spat, Patton Oswalt then jumped in.
Morgan said that he would be the one to standup for the "deplorables" if he had to. Oswalt then joined in by saying that Morgan actually wants nothing to do with these type of people.
Morgan then wrote: "I don't happen to think that anyone who voted Trump is deplorable. The fact you do is why Hillary lost. Just elitist, entitled, bullsh*t."
"The palace corgis are magnificent animals so pipe down, you insufferable berk," Morgan wrote. "Hillary lost because she was a terrible candidate."
Oswalt finally ended the conversation with the promise of more "mean tweets" to come if he decided to post them.
