Recently, Jenelle released a new memoir titled Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom. Of the many shocking revelations in the book, Jenelle says that she suffered a miscarriage back in 2013 after being assaulted by her then-husband.
Jenelle was briefly married to Courtland Rogers in December of 2012. Shortly thereafter, she became pregnant. At that time, she gave up her heroin use, but Rogers had become a dealer.
“He also became very verbally abusive,” she wrote, via Radar. “His favorite thing to do during arguments was tell me that our child wasn’t his because I was a whore.”
During one of those heated disagreements, Rogers became physical.
“Courtland slapped me around a few times, then started punching me in the gut,” she wrote. “I packed a bag and went to spend the night with my mother,” she wrote. “I woke the next morning to a pool of blood between my legs. My mother rushed me to the emergency room, where they explained to me that I had suffered a miscarriage due to my recent altercation with Courtland.”
