During a recent interview at BBC Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw, Harry Styles made headlines after he was hooked up to a heart monitor for a game in which he was shown various photos.
Styles’ heart rate remained relatively stable until he was shown a shirtless photo of Ryan Gosling and his heart rate jumped from 60 to 80 beats per minute, as one’s heart would likely do when confronted with the image of the shirtless star.

“Looking very handsome,” Styles said as he appraised the photo. “It’s a good scene. He’s great, he’s great.” Grimshaw then pointed out that Styles’ heart rate was jumping to 80 bpm, with the singer protesting, “No, it’s not!”

Gosling himself reacted to the moment during an interview with Extra at San Diego Comic-Con, noting that he doesn’t think his photo had much to do with the singer’s spiking heart rate.
“I’m more concerned he may have a heart condition,” the actor cracked. “It’s less about me, more about something more serious.”
