Thomas Rhett's Wife Gives Update on Daughters Willa Gray and Ada James

Thomas Rhett's daughter, Willa Gray is nailing the role of big sister.

Rhett's wife, Lauren Akins took to Instagram on Sunday to share heartwarming footage of her daughter, Willa Gray meeting Ada James for the first time and an update of how the family has been doing.

The footage sees Willa, dressed in a pink tutu and "Big Sister" t-shirt, planting a gentle kiss on her little sister's head, following the sweet gesture with a soft stroke of her hair.

"This is about 17 [hours] post-delivery [and] after I'd slept for the first time in about 58 hours so I'm still a bit zonked in the video, but this is when Willa Gray met Ada for the first time," she writes.

"Honestly it's taken [Willa Gray] a little bit of adjusting and she's been staying with family and friends off [and] on especially when Thomas Rhett leaves because I think it's impossible for me to recover, take care of our [two] pups and a newborn and a 21-month-old all at the same time."

Akins goes on to say that their adopted daughter has not been around a ton in the last week, but assures fans and friends not to worry.

"There will be LOTS of sister time soon. And she LOVES Ada now," she writes. "We're just working on being 'gentle' right now. She's home today and so is daddy so all is right in our world at least for a little bit."

Rhett and his wife, Lauren welcomed their first biological child Aug. 12. The country crooner took to Instagram on Sunday morning to share the heartwarming announcement and a photograph of the two adoring parents with their new daughter, writing that he's now officially "outnumbered" at home.

"Last night at 10:28 PM Ada James Akins was born and it was truly the most amazing thing I have ever experienced," the 27-year-old singer wrote. "I can't believe that we have two daughters!!"

Rhett goes on to reveal that Lauren labored for a little more than 36 hours, with the impressed father writing, "She is by far the strongest human being I have ever met and I have a new found respect for moms around the world."
