Emily Ratajkowski Is 'Bothered' People Are So Offended By Breasts

Emily Ratajkowski is featured on the cover of the August issue of Allure magazine, and the 26-year-old model is using the interview with the publication to speak out about how she often feels judged for her appearance. The Gone Girl star explained that she is "bothered" by how people are "offended by breasts."

Ratajkowski frequently posts risqué photos of herself on Instagram, and she says that there's a degree of judgment that comes with doing so.

"It really bothers me that people are so offended by breasts," she said. "That's when I realized how f**ked our culture is. When we see breasts, we don't think of beauty and femininity. We think of vulgar, oversexualized images."

She continued by saying, "To me, any expression that is empowered and is your own as a woman is feminist. If a woman decides to dress sexy, it doesn't mean she's not a feminist. [We] should be doing things for ourselves. If that is the woman's choice, and it makes her feel good, then that's great. Good for her."

The British-born star wants to lead by example to help girls "see that you can be whatever you want."

"Be as specific as you want," she added. "You can like this thing and that thing, and you don't have to feel like the world won't understand you."

This isn't the first time that Ratajkowski has opened up in recent weeks about her figure and the way people perceive her. During an interview with Harper's Bazaar Australia earlier this month, Ratajowski said that she believes that she has been passed up for acting jobs because her "boobs are too big."

"There's this thing that happens to me: 'Oh, she's too sexy,' " she said. "It's like an anti-woman thing, that people don't want to work with me because my boobs are too big. What's wrong with boobs?"

"They're a beautiful feminine thing that needs to be celebrated. Like, who cares? They are great big, they are great small. Why should that be an issue?" she asked.
