Bethenny Frankel Tested for Skin Cancer After Having Growth Removed
08/31/2017 05:48 pm EDT
Real Housewives of New York City cast member Bethenny Frankel recently revealed that she "had a growth removed" from her face.
Additionally, according to PEOPLE, a source close to the reality TV personality has confirmed that she is being tested for cancer.
The news came out because of an Instagram post that Frankel put up regarding donations to Hurricane Harvey.
In the comments on the post, a fan asked Frankel about the small bandage on her face.
The 46-year-old then first revealed that she "had a growth removed."
Another follower asked her if the growth was perhaps a reaction to fillers.
"No. Basil [sic] cell. I don't do fillers. My jaw is the size of Pittsburgh. Nothing needs enhancement," Frankel explained.
The charity that Frankel runs, B Strong, has been raising money for the Houston and Corpus Christi divisions of Dress for Success.
100 percent of the donations raised will be given to those outreach programs with the goal of helping women get back on their feet after Hurricane Harvey devastated their homes and communities.
