Ashley Graham Reveals the Hardest Modeling Pose She's Ever Done

Ashley Graham is a total pro when it comes to modeling, but even supermodels struggle with certain poses from time to time, something Graham confirmed during a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

The 29-year-old graces the cover of New York Magazine's newest issue, and one photo featured in the model's spread was a particularly trying one to pull off.

"This was one of the hardest positions I've had to be in for a photo shoot," Graham explained to Meyers of the shot, which features the model kneeling on the ground with her backside in the air.

"My knees were up from my shoulders and I was bending all the way down and I had to push my neck up and I was trying to model," she said, adding that the shot took 30 minutes to achieve. "It was very difficult."

"Looking at it, you look very relaxed, but I don't know if I would be comfortable in that position," Meyers quipped. "Also, no one would want to see the resulting photos."

Graham has been in the modeling industry for years and explained how she came to view herself as a body activist.

"I was just posting normal photos of myself, not retouching cellulite, not retouching back fat, and girls were saying, 'Oh! I have a body just like yours!' and I realized that I had a voice and I had a reason for women to say 'Oh, I don't have to compare myself to the skinny, regular girls that media portrays as 'perfect' all the time,'" Graham explained. "So I was like, 'you know what, I'm a body activist.'"
