Ariel Winter's Instagram Followers Slam Her Braless 'Modern Family' Post

Ariel Winter shared an almost-NSFW behind-the-scenes post Tuesday afternoon. In an Instagram video, the 19-year-old Modern Family star flaunted her flat abs in a pair of jeans and a white crop top that left the tiniest bit of underboob peeking out.

"First day back filming," she wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag #ModernFamily and "season 9."

In the video, Winter shakes her hips and makes a silly face in the mirror while holding up what looks like a script for the newest season of the ABC comedy.

While most of Winter's followers praise her photo as "beautiful" and "body goals," some of the comments turned negative, saying she was "only searching for attention."

"She grew up into a total thot! This is how you represent a family comedy? My 6 year old daughter will not be watching this anymore!" one person wrote.

"Is that supposed to be a top?" someone else wrote. Another wrote: "And again. Nothing but a blatant attempt to show off your t-ts."

"Can they even still use you for that role after all that surgery?" another quipped. "Kinda hard to fit the girl next door/nerd role."

Winter opened up about her 2015 breast reduction surgery early last year, writing in an essay for Motto that she's happy she made the decision.

"Having so much weight on my frame was affecting me psychologically. I was uncomfortable and unhappy. I chose surgery because of how I felt, not because of what anyone else thought," she stressed.

"My surgery got a lot of criticism from some people, but I'm happier for it. In the end, I think it's all about how you feel — not what other people think!"

She has since repeatedly defended her decision to have the surgery, and has found herself defending her wardrobe and social media posts a lot lately as well.

Last month, Winter responded to haters who criticized an Instagram she shared where she was wearing a lacy tank top and "booty shorts."

"Pretty annoyed about the focus on the fact that I wear shorts and the commentary that I'm 'squeezing' into them or the idea that it's not okay for me to wear shorts," she wrote on Twitter.

"It's SUMMER. Get over it. It's hot, I'm obviously going to wear minimal clothes. I'm not going to suffer in a turtleneck to please anyone."

"I'm not a whore because I wear shorts and tank tops. I'm a normal girl. Also, I'm not 'squeezing' into anything. My shorts fit me and everything I'm doing is just fine," she said, clearly fed up with the body shaming she's received.
