Terry Crews has reportedly just filed a police report accusing a Hollywood executive of sexually assaulting him at a party some time in 2016.

In October, Crews revealed the incident occurred at a show business function in Hollywood. While with his wife, an executive, whom he chose not to name, walked up and began to grope his genitals.

Crews tried to contact the executive later through private channels and he offered an apology but no explanation for his actions. The Brookyln Nine-Nine actor said he wanted to pursue legal action at the time but was scared of the potential backlash against his career.

TMZ reports he went to Los Angeles police on Wednesday afternoon to formerly accuse the executive, who Variety reports as being WME executive Adam Venit.

The assault is said to have been within the statute of limitations in California, so a criminal investigation into the matter is possible.

Crews has compared the recent swelling support for assault accusers to the Emancipation Proclamation.

"Hollywood is now pre-Weinstein and post-Weinstein. It's like the Emancipation Proclamation," Crews recently said. "There was one day you were a slave. Next day you're free. First of all, now people in Hollywood are free to say what they want to say and say what's happening...Hollywood will never be the same. I promise you that."
