Taryn Manning doesn’t care what haters say about her body.
The 38-year-old actress, best known for playing Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett on the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black, shared an Instagram photo on Thursday revealing her flat midsection, writing in that caption that she feels good about her body and that others are too quick to attack her size.

“I have worked hard to get my cortisol levels down through meditation and self love,” she wrote, adding that she clapped back at a body-shamer in a previous video on social media. “If you saw my video earlier that was me reacting poorly combating a bully. Someone who won’t go away.”
Manning proceeded to spread a positive message about her “weird little body,” encouraging others to feel the same about their own bodies.

“I love my weird little body and love your awesome body too. All of you. Everyone is perfect to me! Everyone is beautiful. No judgment please!”
The star’s comment section flooded with positive messages from fans, like “You are absolutely stunning in every possible way and don’t ever forget it,” and “All bodies are good bodies. Love yourself and be good to you!”
Meditation can help lower your levels of cortisol, aka the “stress hormone,” so it’s possible that “through meditation and self love” Manning has talked herself down from an apparently heated situation with said “bully.”

Manning, who first rose to the mainstream scene after her role opposite Britney Spears in 2002’s Crossroads, told TMZ that she has struggled with substance abuse in the past, and in October 2016 said that she hit “what some may call … rock bottom.” She added that she was seeking help with her substance abuse issues, telling TMZ she felt “grateful” for the support she received.
“I’ve never felt more accepted, forgiven, and supported than during this period of my life. This is not easy,” she said.
