Maksim Chmerkovskiy has some big news!
A source has revealed to Us Weekly that the Dancing With the Stars pro will be returning to the ABC show for its 23rd season, which will reunite the dancer with his brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, in the ballroom. The elder Chmerkovskiy won the coveted mirror ball trophy for the first time in 2014 with Olympian Meryl Davis.
The dancer previously said he would be retiring from the show after his season with Davis, although he did return as a guest judge for seasons 21 and 22 of DWTS.
Chmerkovskiy is currently expecting his first child with his fiancée and fellow DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd, and he just wrapped up a 45-city tour with his brother Val for their show, Maks & Val Live on Tour: Our Way.
Although Chmerkovskiy's return has not been officially confirmed nor has his partner been officially announced, fans are speculating that the pro will be teamed with Amber Rose, as Rose tweeted out a photo of the pair on Wednesday night.
The full lineup of pros and celebrities for DWTS's 23rd season will be announced on Good Morning America on August 30.
