'The Exorcist': Ben Daniels on Where Marcus and Tomas Will Begin Season 2

FOX's fan-favorite horror series, The Exorcist, is preparing for a return that will see the lead characters at some very intriguing places in their lives.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Ben Daniels, who plays Father Marcus Keane, dished on where fans will find his character and Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) at the start of season two.
"Well, Marcus and Tomas have been out on the road for six months doing various exorcisms of various sorts, and Marcus has been training Tomasm" Daniels exclusively told PopCulture.com. "But we reach them at a point in their lives where Tomas has moved up the scale pretty rapidly, and you're now starting to see tension between the two of them. That might begin to split them up."
This tease falls in line with remarks Herrera made later in the interview. It appears that this new dynamic will lead to some tension between the two priests.
"This relationship between Tomas and Marcus starts to appear a little peculiar and starts to get a little strange," Herrera said. "Specifically because of their different approaches. He has a completely different approach, and Tomas starts to take some unnecessary risks, in a certain way."
FOX's The Exorcist will return on Sept. 29 at 9 p.m ET. You can watch the full interview with the cast above.
