'Chicago' Franchise Teases a Big Surprise for Its Fans

NBC's Chicago universe is set to make a huge announcement on Monday morning and the network is whipping fans into a frenzy on social media. At this time, it remains a secret what the announcement could be and Twitter is going crazy trying to figure out what could be in the works.

The hype began building over the weekend as the Chicago accounts shared that there was going to be massive news revealed on August 7.

Early on Monday morning, the Chicago Fire Twitter account ignited the teaser discussions with a series of hints coming from the other shows in the same universe, Chicago Med and Chicago P.D.

"We know you're going crazy, #ChiHards! WE've seen some good guesses out there," the account wrote.

Next, the Chicago Med account chimed in by writing: "Let's give them some hints to calm their nerves? #OneChicago."

Chicago P.D. got in on the action by writing: "Okay, we'll go first! 1) It's something you've been asking us for (A LOT)."

Fire then tweeted: "2) You can use it IRL."

As for the third and final hint, Med tweeted: "3) It's related to the fandom."

As for the fans, they are racking their brains trying to figure out what news could be delivered this week.

One Twitter user is guessing that there could be a new crossover show on the way.

Other fans are hoping that canceled shows could be coming back.
