Comedian's Wife Passes Away at 46

Michelle McNamara, the wife of comedian Patton Oswalt, has died.

Oswalt's publicist confirmed the news to PEOPLE saying that she died in her sleep April 21 at 46 years old.

Although no cause of death has been released, Oswalt's publicist said her passing "was a complete shock to her family and friends, who loved her dearly."

McNamara founded the website True Crime Diary, which covers both cold cases and breaking stories.

Oswalt is a comedian whose credits include Ratatouille, The King of Queens, Agents of SHIELD and Veep.

McNamara and Oswalt married in 2005 and they have one daughter together, 7-year-old Alice.
