Are Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson Dating?

Aside from their respective career paths, Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson have always made the headlines for their individual romantic pursuits.

Pattinson had a very public relationship with his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart before seemingly settling down with musician FKA Twigs. Perry had a tumultuous marriage to comedian Russell Brand before engaging in a series of relationships with the likes of John Mayer, Orlando Bloom, Diplo and more.

Now, it appears the stars may be cozying up to one another.

TMZ published several photos of the duo at The Tower Bar, which is located inside the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. Apparently they were there with some other associates, but the two seemed to be paired off from the others.

While this could simply be a friendly dinner, the mystery Pattinson keeps around his relationships makes it possible something more romantic is brewing.

On July 25, Pattinson was a guest on the Howard Stern Show, where he seemed to give a half-answer when the host asked if he was engaged, presumably to FKA Twigs.

"Yeah, kind of," he replied.

The two then discussed why Pattinson likes to keep details on his relationships private. The answer, unsurprisingly, is that the "crazy" people mixed in the Twilight fan base can take things too far.

"It's one of the most frustrating things in the world, you want to be able to (be more open), but it's literally like, you get stuck in this position but you have to make this decision whether you want to let the crazy people in," he said.

A look into the history between Perry and Pattinson makes either a romance or a friendship seem possible.

The two have long been labeled as friends, with Perry being seen out with Pattinson and FKA Twigs on different occasions. However, rumors that they were on the verge of something more have persisted, especially in the aftermath of Perry's break-up with Bloom.

Neither party has spoken about the photos since they were published.
