Netflix recently partnered with Dreamworks Animation for their latest project Voltron: Legendary Defender, and now they're teaming up with Activision to bring the Skylanders to the streaming service as well.

According to Deadline, the new project is titled Skylanders Academy, and will be produced in-house through Activision Blizzard Studios, in conjunction with TeamTO, a french animation studio. Academy has a two-season order, and will premiere later this fall.

Skylanders Academy will focus on a few marquee heroes who are training the next wave of Skylanders, and will include the star of the original game Spyro, who will be voiced by Justin Long. Ashley Tisdale is voicing Stealth Elf, while Jonathan Banks will be lending his vocal chords to Eruptor. Rounding out the main group will be Norm MacDonald, who will be voicing Glumshanks.

The series will also feature voice acting from Susan Sarandon, Daniel Wu, The Diamond Minecart, James Hetfield, Parker Posey, Catherine O'Hara, Chris Diamantopoulos, Harland Williams, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jonny Rees, and Richard Horvitz.

Don't expect this to be the last Activision project to make it to Netflix either, as Activision Blizzard Studios Co-President Stacey Sher has referenced this new deal as "the beginning of a beautiful friendship." The company has numerous projects in development, including popular franchises like Call of Duty, Starcraft, Destiny, Diablo, and Candy Crush Saga, though they might not all end up on Netflix.
