In one of the most highly anticipated matches in NXT history, the "King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura faced off against "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" Austin Aries Wednesday night at NXT Takeover: The End.

Both are two of the most recent performers to the company with Nakamura coming from New Japan Pro Wrestling and Aries coming from TNA Wrestling. Both men were world champions in their promotions and both came to NXT to seek to take on the best in the world. The match went back and forth, with Aries catching Nakamura in his signature submission move the Last Chancery, but Nakamura escaped and was able to land his Kinshasa kick and got the pinfall.


Nakamura remains undefeated in NXT having already taken out NXT stars like Sami Zayn, Alex Riley, and Tye Dillinger, one has to question how long that streak will go on for. Considering that he's scheduled to face off against John Cena at the end of June, one can only wonder.
