Wesley Snipes Upbeat About A Blade Revival, Teases Mystery Role

In July, Wesley Snipes (Passenger 57, Demolition Man) revealed that he already met with Marvel Studios (reacquired the movie rights to the character in 2013) about possibly reprising the tough-talking vampire slayer as well as hinting at another possible Marvel role in their Cinematic Universe.

While promoting his new television series The Player, Snipes once again brought up his meeting with Marvel. He's still upbeat about Blade's revival and a mystery Marvel yet he appears to be closing in on.

"Well, we've had some discussions," Snipes told CBR when asked about reprising Blade for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "We have had very positive and favorable discussions about the Blade character and other things they have in mind. We'll see where it goes. For those Blade fans, if we never reprise Blade, I have another character that will stand toe to toe with Blade any day. It's not done yet."

NBC's The Player debuts Thursday, September 24, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
