Carrie Fisher Auctioning Off Personal Star Wars Items

Carrie Fisher is auctioning off her personal collection of Star Wars memorabilia. The two day auction will take place on May 17 and 18. The collection includes 20 candid photos of herself and co-stars Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford on the set of Star Wars, a The Empire Strikes Back advance 1-sheet poster signed by Fisher, Fisher's personal Star Wars program, a photo of Fisher with Peter Mayhew, a collection of signed Star Wars posters, a lithograph from The Empire Strikes Back, and an ink sketch of Princess Leia. At the higher end, the auction also includes the VistaVision Motion Picture Camera #29 used in the filming of Star Wars, with a starting bid of $60,000. Fisher's Star Wars memorabilia is part of a "The Final Auction," an event being held by Fisher's mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, that will auction off pieces of movie history from films such as Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, and Ben Hur.
