A drama series inspired by the life of TV judge Judy Sheindlin is currently in the works at CBS.

The project titled Her Honor centers around "the youngest judge in New York who gets to the heart of the matter in Family Court but has trouble getting a hold of her personal life," according to EW. The script for the pilot will be penned by Chicago Justice executive producer and former Law & Order executive producer Michael Chernuchin. Other notable credits for Chernuchin include Rogue, Black Sails, and 24. Judge Judy herself will receive a story co-writer credit, and will serve as an executive producer Arnold Kopelson and Anne Kopelson.

The prospective series would air on CBS, which would be fitting considering that Sheindlin's reality court show Judge Judy is produced and distributed by CBS Television Studios. Also, even if Her Honor never makes it to the small screen, you can expect to see more Judge Judy as the show has been renewed through 2020.

Judge Judy is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and is the reason that Sheindlin has been able to become the most profitable star on television bringing in $47 million per year. The five-year extension deal she inked through 2020 is reportedly worth even more than her current one.

Would you like to watch a series about the life and times of Judge Judy?
