In a night of firsts, the WWE Universe witnessed AJ Styles win his first WWE World Championship.

Already a seven-time world champion across numerous wrestling promotions, having Styles claim the sports' biggest prize is an accomplishment fans thought they'd never see. In what can easily be called the match of the night, Dean Ambrose, and AJ Styles went all out trying to put the other one away, even fighting outside the ring and behind the protective banister.

After hitting a low blow unseen by the referee, Styles was able to land his patented finishing maneuver the Styles Clash on Ambrose to get the three-count and become the new WWE World Champion.


Now with this victory under his resume, Styles is the first person in professional wrestling history to have held World Titles in ROH, TNA, New Japan, and now WWE.
