While there are plenty of sci-fi originals on the way from Netflix - the Lost In Space reboot currently at the top of the list - there was one show that started the trend. Visionsary filmmaker Lana Wachowski (The Matrix) debuted Sense8 back in 2015 - and fans loved it.

The series tore down the boundaries of what people thought they knew about the sci-fi genre, and set an entirely new standard going forward. Sense8 centers around eight individuals, from all parts of the world, who find themselves connected by one unique vision.

After a long offseason, and a single Christmas special, Sense8 is finally returning for its second season. Netflix debuted the first trailer on Monday morning, along with the announcement that the entire second season will air on the streaming site on May 5.

The trailer is filled with shots of the individuals bonding, and lets fans know that the message that they grew to love will not be lost in the action. At the end of the day, the show will always be about love and unity, conquering hate and fear.
