Tommy Ford, one of the stars from the '90s sitcom Martin, suffered an aneurysm that ruptured his abdomen and has been put on life support at a hospital in Atlanta.

Ford has been in the hospital since October 9. His health has declined since then, and is not expected to make it through the day, according to TMZ.

Gina, Ford's wife has said that the family is praying for a miracle at the moment.

A week ago, the 52-year-old comedian shared news about his recent knee replacement surgery.

He posted a picture along with the caption: "Hey family...I thank you all for your prayers...God heard you!!! My doctor was a little surprised that I am stronger than anticipated for an old fart replacing a knee. He said he knew the knee was bad but after opening me up it was much worse than he thought, but God is good! I passed the test and was released a day earlier! I'm in a little pain which is expected after a major surgery but I started therpy (sic) this morning and on my way to recovery! Thanks for your prayers and words of encouragement! Love y'all!!! #thepowerofprayer #kneereplacement #recovery #therapy #blessed #newday #godisgood."

Ford penned children's books that promoted non-violent lifestyles and drug-free environments.

Tommy Ford portrayed the straight-laced friend to the crazy main character played by Martin Lawrence on all five seasons of the show. He also appeared on New York Undercover, The Parkers, and The Jamie Foxx Show.

We are keeping Tommy Ford in our thoughts and are hoping for recovery.
