Julia Stiles Recalls Being Hit By A Motorcycle During 'Jason Bourne' Film Shoot

Julia Stiles' character Nicky Parsons always seems to be involved in life-threatening danger in the Bourne series. Unfortunately the peril that her character faces in the movies became more than just pretend as the 35-year-old actress was hit by a motorcycle in a "freak accident" while on a break from filming Jason Bourne in London earlier this year.

On Monday at the Jason Bourne premiere in Las Vegas, Stiles told PEOPLE magazine, "When we were shooting in London I was hit by a motorcycle." The actress and the motorist are now both fine, but that was not initially the case at the time of the accident.

The crash occurred on a night off from filming. Stiles, who is starring alongside Matt Damon for the fourth time in the Bourne series, was struck by a motorcycle while obeying the pedestrian laws and was crossing the street at a crosswalk.

"I had a concussion," she stated and added that she had no recollection of the collision with the motorist. She continued saying, "I blacked out, but it was just a freak accident."

Fortunately for Stiles, she did not break any bones in the accident and was even given the next day off in order to tend to her injuries.

Ironically enough, the upcoming fifth installment in the Bourne franchise has a lengthy scene revolving around a Stiles and a motorcycle, so it was one of the more bizarre situations where the actress came up close and personal with a situation like that of the kind her movie character frequently gets tangled up in.

Stiles admits, "It was very odd," in how similar the accident was to situations like that of the ones her character faces in the Bourne films.

Thankfully Stiles and the motorist are both ok as it sounds like the accident could have been far more fatal.
