According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises) and Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect) will star in MGM's remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

However, the remake won't share the same title as the 1988 comedy classic that starred Steve Martin (The Jerk) and Michael Caine (Batman Begins) as competing conmen. As a play on the "nasty woman" comment President-elect Donald Trump famously made to Hillary Clinton during their third presidential debate, it'll be titled Nasty Women.

Hathaway and Wilson will play "two women from different walks of life teaming up to con a tech prodigy out of his money."

The script was written by Jac Schaeffer (The Shower). Pin High Productions' Roger Birnbaum and Wilson's Camp Sugar Productions are producing

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) - Freddy Benson (Steve Martin), a con(fidence) man, lives off women by waking their compassion with shocking stories about his fake fate. One day in beautiful Beaumont sur Mer, he meets Lawrence Jamieson (Michael Caine), who shares the same passion, works the rich ladies with the same scheme, but in quite a different league. With the knowledge of his profession, Freddy forces Lawrence to teach him high-society behaviour, so that he himself can earn a major living. When time comes to say goodbye, Freddy decides to stay a little longer. As there is no way two con men can work a town that small at the same time, Lawrence and Freddy agree on a settlement: The first one to extract $50.000 from a young female target (Glenne Headly) wins, the other leaves town. The sum is no match for Lawrence, the age of the lady no match for Freddy. Let the games begin!

The original was directed by Frank Oz and written by Dale Launer, Stanley Shapiro, and Paul Henning.
